According to the table provided, the team that wins the league receives a prize of £44 million, while the first runner-up gets £41.8 million. However, it’s evident that winning the league is more about honor and boasting rights, which Arsenal has not achieved in the last 19 seasons.

Note that it is safe to assume at this point in time, Arsenal will definitely stay as one of the top 4 and qualify for Champions League next season.

Moving on, let’s examine the prize money awarded for winning the Europa League.

At present, Arsenal has advanced to the round of 16 in the Europa League.

If they were to emerge victorious in the tournament, the financial gain would be approximately €19 million (equivalent to £16.8 million), in addition to the highly coveted trophy that would be celebrated by fans worldwide.

However, is it worth jeopardizing our domestic league aspirations as we dilute our firepower for the Europa League?

Note: It is worthy of mentioning that €15.64 million (£13.89 million) was awarded to teams who participated in the group stages of Champions League this season. Such is the difference between Champions League and Europa League.

GunnerBanana’s POV

Since we have a legitimate opportunity to win the league, the primary focus should always be the league itself.

As we simultaneously pursue the Europa League, it would be prudent to only utilize our second team and even the academy kids.

This means giving rest to players like Partey and instead using Jorginho.

Furthermore, considering the indispensability of Saka and Zinchenko during our league matches, it would be wise to rest them as well.
