Takehiro Tomiyasu
Takehiro Tomiyasu’s immediate future appears to be certain as he sustained an injury after playing only 9 minutes in the second leg against Sporting during the Europa round of 16.
It was disheartening to witness the depth of our team being so abruptly depleted. It is probable that he will be out for the remainder of the season, but we anticipate his return in the next season, rejuvenated and more resilient.
In my opinion, there is no ambiguity regarding Takehiro Tomiyasu’s long-term prospects.
He turns 25 this year.
Arteta has utilized him in every defensive position.
While there is scope for him to enhance his passing, crossing, and overall composure, he excels in aerial duels and maintains excellent concentration during matches.
Consider his versatility and ambidexterity, he is an improved version of Rob Holding and has taken his place in the team.
Tomi is our new Rob Holding.

Robert Samuel Holding
This year marks Rob Holding’s 28th birthday, and he has served the club faithfully since his acquisition from Bolton Wanderers for a mere £2 million in 2016.
Over the course of seven years, he has made 156 appearances.
Is Rob Holding currently in his prime? It is quite likely.
Would the club be adversely affected if he were to be sold? Probably not.
However, it could have a minor impact on team morale, as he is known to be helpful towards new signings who have recently joined Arsenal. Kieran Tierney, for instance, considers Holding to be his closest friend within the club.
Having said that, it is now appropriate for us to bid farewell to Holding. We must either add in a superior squad player to bolster our competitiveness in upcoming tournaments or provide opportunities for academy players to gain valuable experience.
It would be advantageous if we were able to sell him for a substantial profit. Given that we acquired him for a meager £2 million, it would be highly unlikely for us to suffer a loss in this transaction.
We need to make the right transfers to enhance the competitiveness of our squad.
